Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team for a 6-8 month maternity cover. This role is integral to expanding our footprint in the energy sector, particularly focusing on transmission and distribution network operators, renewable energy developers, and infrastructure managers.

Your responsibilities

  • Market Research: Conduct in-depth analysis of the energy sector to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
  • Target Identification: Pinpoint high-potential customers, including utilities, TSOs, DSOs, and renewable energy developers, who can benefit from Spottitt’s satellite-based monitoring solutions.
  • Lead Generation: Develop and implement strategies to generate qualified leads through various channels, including digital marketing, industry events, and networking.
  • Client Engagement: Initiate and manage outreach efforts to prospective clients, introducing them to Spottitt’s value proposition and capabilities.
  • Meeting Coordination: Schedule and facilitate meetings between prospective clients and relevant Spottitt team members, ensuring alignment with client needs and expectations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure a cohesive approach to business development and client acquisition.

The more of these you have, the better:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • 2 years of working experience as a Business Development Manager, Sales Executive, or similar role.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills and the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • You have excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce) and Google Workspace tools
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ideally, you have an understanding of the use, types, value and complexities of geospatial data
  • Sitting in UK or CET timezone.
  • Availability to start in June 2025.
