An excitingBusiness Development Manageropportunity has opened with a leading M&E design consultancy based in Derry / Londonderry. This dynamic firm is known for delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical design solutions for data centres, modular buildings, manufacturing facilities, and high-rise residential projects across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.AsBusiness Development Manageryou will play a pivotal role in expanding the company client base and developing strategic relationships across the construction and property sectors. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage key accounts and assist colleagues in developing competitive bids.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to grow the M&E division.
  • Identify, target, and win new business opportunities with main contractors, developers, consultants, architects and end-clients.
  • Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the construction industry.
  • Attend industry networking events, trade shows, and client meetings across the region.
  • Collaborate with estimating and design teams to prepare bids and proposals.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities within the M&E and wider construction sectors.
  • Track and report on sales performance, pipeline, and key metrics.
To be considered for this Business Development Manager role you will have:
  • Proven experience in business development within the M&E or Construction sector is essential.
  • Strong network of contacts in Ireland and the UK.
  • Commercial awareness, with a deep understanding of mechanical and electrical contracting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • BID, PQQs/ITT experience would be desirable.
