Business Development Manager - Licensing

CK Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to join a growing biotechnology company with cutting-edge technology.

This is a full-time, permanent position. The role is remote, with a preference for candidates based in MA and NY/NJ. English and Chinese language skills are required.

Salary: $95,000 - $130,000 base + commission.

Position Summary:

The Business Development Manager will have a strong understanding of business development and licensing, playing a key role in driving strategic growth and exploring new business opportunities.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Establish external business opportunities for out-licensing, co-development, and other transactions.
  • Develop and present business cases for external opportunities with recommendations and analyses.
  • Lead and present external opportunities with limited supervision.
  • Coordinate cross-functional due diligence and alliance management, liaising with R&D, CMC, Clinical, Regulatory, Operations, and Finance teams.
  • Manage BD operations including proposals, negotiations, deal closure, and alliance management.
  • Contribute to the development of business development and licensing strategies aligned with corporate goals.
  • Represent the company at industry events and maintain relationships with industry participants.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • PhD in pharmacology, immunology, cancer biology, or related Biomedical Sciences field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in business development, R&D, or strategic planning in the life sciences industry.
  • Knowledge of business development/licensing and pharmaceutical R&D.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and project management skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English.
