Job Description:

Our client is a large format and signage company based in Surrey, they are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead its next phase of commercial growth. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic sales professional with a proven track record of delivering results, shaping sales strategies, and building strong relationships with key decision-makers.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving revenue, expanding market share, and leading a small but ambitious sales function within a creative and fast-moving environment. The role will be a split between 60% New Business and 40% Account Management

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Sales Strategy & Market Development.
  • Develop and execute a commercial strategy aimed at growth in both UK and selected international markets.
  • Pinpoint new sectors and opportunities, using research and insight to anticipate trends and client needs.
  • Set clear, challenging but achievable revenue targets in line with company ambitions.

Business Development & Client Engagement:

  • Secure new, high-value contracts by cultivating senior-level relationships.
  • Deliver persuasive presentations, proposals and pitches to win complex, large-scale projects.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring outcomes that balance client satisfaction with business goals.
  • Oversee and refine the sales process, from lead generation through to deal closure.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to the sales team, fostering high standards and a collaborative culture.
  • Utilise CRM systems and data-driven reporting to monitor and optimise performance.

Ideal Background:

  • Sales experience within the visual communications, print, signage, or related industries.
  • Evidence of winning significant new business and consistently exceeding ambitious sales targets.
  • Experience managing B2B accounts, including corporate and public sector clients with complex procurement processes.
  • A strong understanding of large-format print, signage production, and project delivery cycles.
  • International business experience is advantageous.
