Business Development Manager in the North - Fitness Equipment Brand

This is a field-based role covering the North region

Regular travel is required; candidates must have a UK driving license and access to their own transport.

Our client offers a fantastic product with high success rates, popular with gym-goers and athletes. With a strong UK market presence, we are seeking a passionate, results-driven Sales Account Manager to develop client relationships, drive sales, and expand market share. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fitness, strong sales skills, and the ability to build lasting partnerships with gyms, health clubs, and other fitness facilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the fitness industry, including gyms, schools, and hospitality businesses, adopting a proactive 'hunter' approach.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Become a product expert to answer queries and explain benefits to prospective customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing and customer support for seamless service.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and market developments.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs while ensuring high customer satisfaction.

About the ideal candidate:

  • 2-5 years of experience in B2B sales or business development; fitness industry experience is a plus but not essential.
  • Proven track record of achieving or surpassing sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive self-starter.
  • Ability to travel regularly (3-4 days a week), holding a full UK drivers license and access to own transport.
  • Passion for fitness and knowledge of fitness equipment is advantageous.
