Job Description:

Business Development Manager, Sales Manager, Technical Sales Manager, Key Account Manager - Packaging Solutions

Following a strategic business review, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to strengthen our West Midlands sales team. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will manage existing accounts and develop new business across various market sectors in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver new business sales aligned with company capabilities
  • Manage and grow existing client relationships
  • Maintain and update a sales pipeline regularly
  • Cross-sell to existing and new customers across all company sites
  • Achieve new business targets and manage accounts
  • Plan and oversee new market initiatives
  • Develop goals for the development team and overall business growth
Person Specification:

We seek experienced individuals with a proven sales success record, preferably within the packaging industry (Heavy Duty, Timber, or related sectors). Candidates from other sectors such as supplies, flexible packaging, or cartons will also be considered.

You should also:

  • Have a successful track record in new business and account management
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Be well-organized and self-driven
  • Be results-oriented, ambitious, credible, and professional in dealing with internal and external contacts
  • Be reliable, tolerant, and determined
  • Be a well-presented, empathetic communicator with a professional demeanor
