The Role of the Business Development Manager
- Responsible for selling the full range of commercial boilers and heat pumps to M&E contractors, consultants, local authorities, educational institutions, and healthcare providers.
- Manage a large territory in the North of England, using postcode areas, with occasional overnight stays.
- Work closely with the Domestic Area Sales Managers, receiving high-quality leads and developing new business opportunities.
- Produce quotes and manage multiple projects from start to finish with support from an internal admin team.

The Ideal Person for the Business Development Manager
- Proven sales experience within the HVAC sector, preferably with knowledge of plant room equipment, flues, and related systems.
- Experience working with M&E contractors and consultants, with a strong track record of winning new business and building long-term client relationships.
- Candidates from a commercial merchant background are encouraged, especially those seeking to move into a manufacturer role.
- Proactive, driven, confident in making cold calls, securing meetings, and closing sales.
- Excellent diary management, organisational skills, and ability to prioritise across a large territory.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills at all stakeholder levels.
- Willingness to travel across the North of England, including occasional overnight stays.
