The company notably provides satellite services based on geolocation and the collection of environmental data, the observation of oceans and continental waters, and the monitoring of land and maritime activities.


CLS Group is expanding its activities:
- on ocean data collection services for the offshore wind industry. We specialize in floating LiDAR, metocean, environmental, and acoustic data collection, helping our clients make informed decisions in the rapidly growing UK offshore wind market.
- On maritime surveillance services for law enforcement agencies. We specialize in providing a Maritime Domain Awareness solution, helping our clients to understand, prevent when possible and manage comprehensibly events and activities occurring at sea and that could affect the safety and security of people and property.

In this context, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in CLS UK (London) and drive business growth in the UK and Northern Europe region. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the offshore wind industry and a passion for renewable energy and ocean data technologies.


The main responsibilities will be:

• Develop and implement sales strategies to expand our client base in the UK offshore wind market and maritime surveillance market,
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, focusing on ocean data collection services and maritime domain awareness,
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the offshore wind industry and law enforcement agencies,
• Collaborate with technical teams to understand and effectively communicate our service offerings
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients,
• Negotiate contracts and close deals,
• Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our services,
• Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market developments,
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in our CRM system,
• Work closely with project teams to ensure smooth delivery of services to clients.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Oceanography, Meteorology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
• 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the offshore wind or marine technology sectors
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing business in a B2B and B2G environment
• Strong understanding of the UK offshore wind market and renewable energy sector
• Familiarity with ocean data collection technologies and methodologies
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel within the UK and Northern Europe region

Skills:
• Advanced degree in a relevant field
• Experience with Floating LiDAR, metocean, or environmental data collection technologies
• Knowledge of UK offshore wind regulations and leasing processes
• Existing network of contacts in the UK offshore wind industry
