Business Development Manager - German Speaking

We are looking for an ambitious and strategic Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth in the FMCG sector across Germany and Poland. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in driving business expansion, developing strategic partnerships, and leading a high-performing team in these key European markets. If you're passionate about food, fluent in German, and ready to take on a key leadership role, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Strategy & Business Development:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and expand market share in Germany and Poland.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and competitor activities.
  • Establish and nurture long-term partnerships with key stakeholders including distributors, retailers, and wholesalers.
  • Lead and inspire a team of business development professionals focused on the German and Polish markets.
  • Ensure alignment with company objectives while driving team performance and providing ongoing coaching.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, with continuous training and development.
  • Set and oversee the execution of sales targets and strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance, adjusting strategies to maximise results.
  • Work with key accounts to expand distribution and increase market penetration.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a unified approach to market strategy.
  • Coordinate with the category team to adjust product offerings based on regional consumer preferences.
  • Partner with marketing to drive brand visibility and execute localised campaigns.
  • Budget Management:
  • Manage budgets for business development initiatives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Reporting & Market Insights:
  • Regularly report on market conditions, team performance, and sales results to senior management.
  • Provide insights into regional market trends and recommend adjustments to the overall strategy as needed.

Education & Experience:

  • University degree or equivalent, ideally in Business or Marketing.
  • 5+ years of experience in FMCG business development or sales, with a focus on the DACH region.
