At Ground Control, we don’t just deliver projects - we help shape greener, safer, and more resilient communities.

We’re looking for a passionate, driven Business Development professional to join our growing team - someone ready to build relationships, win meaningful projects, and drive real environmental impact. Whether you’re a BDM with sales experience or a BDE eager to learn, we provide the training, mentorship, and support to help you succeed.

About the Role
As a Business Development Manager (BDM) or Business Development Executive (BDE), you’ll play a key role in securing high-quality infrastructure projects that support our mission for a sustainable future.

You’ll connect with major organisations, open new doors, and represent Ground Control with integrity and purpose - all while receiving ongoing professional development to help you thrive.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across infrastructure and sustainability-focused sectors.
  • Conduct client meetings, introduction calls, and phone conversations to understand needs and present solutions.
  • Respond promptly to inbound enquiries and proactively reach out to potential clients to grow our network.
  • Build trusted relationships with clients and partners, including large, multi-site, Blue Chip organisations.
  • Deliver compelling proposals and presentations that inspire confidence and win projects.
  • Collaborate across divisions - from Environmental Services to Landscaping and Arboriculture - to create holistic, sustainable solutions.
  • Manage your pipeline from first conversation to close, contributing to long-term client partnerships.

What You’ll Bring

  • BDM: Proven sales or business development experience, ideally in solution-based or consultative selling.
  • BDE: Early sales experience or strong commercial awareness, with ambition and curiosity to learn.
  • Stable track record showing growth and commitment.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
  • Collaborative approach and genuine enthusiasm for sustainability.
  • Industry experience in infrastructure, environmental services, or construction is an advantage — but not essential.

Why Join Ground Control?

Career Development Focus: Clear career paths, tailored development programs, and training - including our GC Leadership Academy, job-specific accreditations, and higher education opportunities.

Exciting Growth Opportunities: Join a rapidly growing company with a dynamic team and expanding client base.

Collaborative Environment: Work in a supportive, innovative culture where your contributions are valued.

Competitive Package & Benefits:

  • 23 days holiday (increasing with length of service) + bank holidays
  • Yearly bonus scheme & share options
  • Robust pension scheme
  • Medigold employee support: free flu jabs & online private GP service
  • Free or subsidised national gym memberships
  • Employee Recognition Scheme
  • 2 personal choice volunteering days
  • Flexible working options

Apply today and help us build a greener, safer, and more resilient future!
