Job summary

Central Hall Westminster is seeking a Business Development Manager on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to cover family leave. You will grow revenue by identifying new opportunities, promoting the venue to UK and international clients, and representing the venue at industry events.

You will build relationships with event organisers and agencies, working with internal teams to convert opportunities into confirmed bookings and to drive commercial success.

Qualifications

  • Experience in venue/hospitality sales and a proven ability to win new business.
  • Proactive, commercially focused and confident representing a prestigious London venue.
  • Ability to build lasting relationships with event organisers, agencies and clients.

Job description

Location: Central London, Westminster (office-based)

Contract type: Fixed-Term Contract (12 Months)

Reporting to: Head of Sales & Marketing

Working pattern: 5 days out of 7, flexed to meet business needs. UK travel required, with occasional international travel.

Working with corporate organisations, charities, agencies and private clients, we deliver a diverse programme of events in one of London's most recognised venues. High-profile events hosted at Central Hall Westminster include the Netflix Wednesday Season 2 Global Premiere, The Late Late Show with James Corden, and the Burberry Fashion Show, reflecting our reputation for delivering memorable experiences in a unique and historic setting.

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Sales team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover family leave. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building relationships within target sectors and generating revenue by promoting Central Hall Westminster to UK and international clients.

The Role

You will grow revenue through proactive business development and secure bookings from new clients and market sectors. You will represent the venue at industry events, build relationships with event organisers and agencies, and work with internal teams to convert opportunities into confirmed business.

  • Contributing market insight to sales and marketing initiatives
About You

You will have business development & sales experience within a venue, hospitality, hotel, conferencing or events environment, with a proven ability to generate new business and build lasting client relationships. You will be proactive, commercially focused and confidence representing a prestigious London venue.

  • A successful track record of achieving sales targets
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness and strong numerical skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of a foreign language and experience using iVvy or a similar CRM platform would be highly advantageous.
