Job description

Company Overview

Founded in Los Angeles in 2015 by former early executives of Kakao, AmazeVR has become a global leader in virtual reality entertainment. Leveraging proprietary technologies such as hyper-real 8K live-action filming, Unreal Engine-based VFX pipeline, AI upscaling, AI relighting, and AI keying, we deliver groundbreaking immersive experiences to fans around the world.

To date, we have raised $50.8 million USD (approx. KRW 69.7 billion) in funding from leading investors including Mirae Asset Capital, CJ ENM, LG Technology Ventures, and Smilegate Investment. Backed by this support, we continue to push the boundaries of what's possible in VR.

Artist Projects

Get ready to fangirl/fanboy out! We've already brought incredible VR concerts to life:

  • Megan Thee Stallion: Our first major project, "Enter Thee Hottiverse," was a smashing success, touring 17 major U.S. cities in early 2022.
  • K-pop Powerhouses: Through our joint venture with SM Entertainment, we produced breathtaking VR concerts for aespa and EXO’s KAI, which premiered in Seoul’s Megabox theaters.
  • Tomorrow X Together (TXT): In 2024, we partnered with HYBE’s BigHit Music to launch TXT’s first VR concert, which swept across 14 countries, including Korea, the U.S., Japan, and multiple European markets.
  • New K-pop Adventures: 2025 saw the launch of VR concerts for CHA EUN-WOO and ENHYPEN, further expanding our incredible K-pop lineup.

With more artist releases and regional expansions on the horizon, Europe is set to become a vital hub for our growth. AmazeVR is not just delivering content; we are revolutionizing how fans experience music performances with truly immersive content.

About the Role

As K-pop continues to gain momentum across Europe, AmazeVR is looking for a Business Development Manager who deeply understands the cultural, commercial, and fan-driven dynamics of this genre.

In this role, you won’t just support our projects — you’ll lead them. From localizing and launching immersive VR concerts with top K-pop artists, to forging partnerships with theaters, festivals, and distributors across the region, you’ll be at the forefront of introducing a new format of fan experience to European audiences.

You'll work closely with our global team to ensure each launch is tailored to the unique fanbase and market landscape of each country — bringing the K-pop experience even closer to the fans who love it most.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong rolodex of exhibitor cinema contacts, film distributors, concert promoters, and experiential pop-up operators across Europe. They will be expected to hit the ground running, leveraging their existing network to drive immediate distribution power for our VR concerts.

Flexibility in working hours is critical, as this role will frequently collaborate across time zones with our HQ in Los Angeles and our production and artist teams in Seoul.

ResponsibilitiesRegional Business Planning & Strategy
  • Proactively identify, pitch, and close new distribution channels in a traditional cinema chains landscape.
  • Continuously scout and evaluate emerging alternative venues and non-traditional partners (e.g. cultural institutions, brand activations) that can serve as exhibition platforms.
  • Help shape our European go-to-market strategy by bringing local insights and offer creative, commercially viable strategies.
  • Develop compelling project-specific business plans and set ambitious revenue goals for each country.
Regional Operations
  • Oversee and manage partnerships, ensuring flawless execution of VR concert rollouts across theaters, pop-ups, and festivals.
  • Work seamlessly with our internal production, licensing, and marketing teams to meet all regional requirements.
  • Keep a sharp eye on regional ticket sales and revenue performance, reporting key insights for continuous optimization.
  • Guarantee cultural and regulatory alignment for every country's release, making sure our concerts resonate with local audiences.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in business development, content distribution, or operations within the European entertainment industry.
  • A proven track record of independently identifying growth opportunities and building scalable partnerships.
  • A deep, insider understanding of the European media, cinema, or music exhibition landscape.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, especially when it comes to revenue modeling and market forecasting.
  • Comfortable and effective working cross-functionally with remote global teams.
  • Understands the challenges of breaking into conservative or gatekept industries and thrives in situations that require resourcefulness and persistence.
Preferred (Your K-pop fan heart will shine here!)
  • Passion for K-pop and a strong interest in connecting global fans with immersive content
  • Professional fluency in English; additional European languages a plus
  • Experience working with cinemas, event venues, music festivals, or fan-based entertainment in Europe
  • Interest or background in VR/XR or immersive technologies.
Hiring Process (All steps conducted online)
  1. Application Review: We’ll carefully review your resume to see if you’re a match for our team.
  2. Optional Virtual Coffee Chat: A casual chat to get to know each other better.
  3. Interview(s)
  4. Reference Check & Offer Discussion
  5. Final Offer
