Business Development Manager - Employee Benefit Technology

The Aon Business Development Manager is a role where you will have broader conversations around Health, Wellbeing and Employee Benefits - all underpinned by data and technology. You will engage with senior leaders in mid to large corporate and global businesses and be at the forefront of securing new opportunities for clients to work with Aon.

The best part - it's a hybrid role, giving you the flexibility to work at home, in our office (Farnborough), or visit clients (mainly in Farnborough/M25 area) - it all depends on you and the moments that matter.

What the day will look like

Reporting to the Growth Leader of UK Health, the jobholder will be responsible for sales of the Employee Benefit Technology proposition to new health clients. Sales will come from an outbound industry vertical account based approach including Aon network, client networking, personal networking and marketing activities through early engagement. Anything inbound is a bonus.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Strong negotiation skills, with a proven record in employee benefit sales performance, including online technology sales.
  • Strong discovery skills to identify pain points and tailor solutions accordingly through educating the buyers on value.
  • Experience managing complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to forecast revenue accurately and manage deal velocity.
  • Strong storytelling and executive communication skills to articulate quantifiable impact.
  • Healthcare and Risk consulting and broking and DC advisory services experience.
  • An enthusiastic team player with strong relationship and empathy building skills who is capable of selling reasons for change to a diverse range of clients.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - able to communicate and engage well across organisational levels, particularly with C-suite and Senior Reward or Human Resource managerial levels.
  • Well developed influencing skills and the ability to achieve success through others. Commercial understanding of business and risk factors.
  • A thorough understanding of different sales processes and methodologies and the value of marketing.
