Job description

Business Development Manager – aligned to the education and not-for-profit sectors in a boutique law firm with great culture and good work/life balance.

This boutique law firm boasts a great culture and a well-resourced business and marketing team. The low turnover within the business development team ensures a supportive environment and a good work/life balance. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with sectors that are somewhat different – specifically, education and not-for-profit/charities.

Managing a BD Executive, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing and implementing strategies and plans for the two groups;
  2. Managing bids and proposals, especially for the NFP sector;
  3. Collaborating with the marketing team to develop campaigns and communications;
  4. Organizing both in-person and virtual events;
  5. Advising partners on cross-selling and unified market approach;
  6. Maintaining relationships with industry bodies.

Ideal candidates will have solid business development and marketing experience from a major law firm or potentially from accounting or consulting firms. Experience targeting the not-for-profit and government sectors is desirable but not essential. The ability to influence partners with charm and diplomacy, and to drive initiatives at a pace comfortable for all, is crucial.
