Business Development Manager - Defence Sector

The Company

The Role
  • Concentrate on promoting prefabricated facilities / modular buildings data centres into the defence sector.
  • Engage with clients to build upon an already healthy pipeline within Defence, MOD, NATO, and US DoD programmes.
  • Develop a strategy to target UK, US, and European defence organisations.
  • Build relationships with defence procurement bodies, primes, integrators, security agencies, etc.
  • Identify opportunities for modular / prefabricated data centres, secure enclosures, SCIFs, etc.
  • Work with internal teams to deliver winning proposals.
  • Represent the client at networking opportunities (defence trade events, briefings, site visits) in the UK & EU.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy targeting defence organisations in the UK, US, and Europe.
  • Engage with defence procurement bodies, primes, integrators, and security agencies.
  • Identify opportunities for modular data centres, secure enclosures, and related facilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare and submit competitive proposals.
  • Represent the client at relevant defence events and site visits.
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of how the military operates.
  • Demonstrable sales experience.
  • Knowledge of security, compliance, and procurement frameworks (e.g., UK NPSA, HMG SPF, US ICD-705, DoD MATOCs, GSA) would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the UK and Europe.
Salary & Benefits

Salary: Excellent package depending on experience including a good base, excellent commission, and car allowance.

Location

Location: Can live anywhere on mainland Great Britain, but training and monthly visits to the West Midlands will be expected.
