Do you have experience selling technical products into OEMs within the Defence & Aerospace sectors in the North of the UK?

Are you experienced with electrical/electromechanical components, or similar products that need to be sold or specified as a solution into manufacturing stages or as bespoke additional products?

Are you keen to take over a strong customer base and a fantastic product range for an industry-leading UK engineering firm?

We are working with an experienced Business Development Manager, selling for an OEM into military, defence, and aerospace sectors, to join a results-driven team and manage and grow the Northern UK markets.

The ideal candidate will be technically capable, with exposure to military/aerospace, and experienced in a field/home-based technical business development role, demonstrating success in winning business and selling products.

The company, with over 90 years of growth, designs and manufactures equipment for the Aviation, Maritime, Military, Aerospace, and Rail industries. They pride themselves on creating bespoke products at short notice. Your target will be to generate sales orders that meet or exceed targets and to communicate action plans when results differ from expectations.

Applicants should be comfortable visiting and working at trade shows worldwide, and meeting with end-user customers to discuss technical product benefits and pain points. All applicants must be tech-savvy, experienced with ERP/CRM systems, and comfortable with virtual meetings.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy travelling and want to advance their career in military or aerospace sales. The role is ideally suited for candidates located in the North of the UK, preferably not south of Birmingham. You may need to visit the East Anglia office once or twice a month.
