Are you experienced in selling technical products into OEMs within the Defence & Aerospace sectors in the North of the UK?
Do you have experience with electrical/electromechanical components or similar products that need to be sold or specified as solutions into manufacturing stages or as bespoke additional products?
Are you eager to take over a strong customer base and a fantastic product range for an industry-leading UK engineering firm?
We are working with an experienced BDM, selling for an OEM into military, defence, and aerospace sectors, to join a results-driven team and manage the growth of the Northern UK markets.
The ideal candidate will be technically capable, with existing exposure to military/aerospace, and have experience in a field/home-based technical business development role, demonstrating success in winning business and selling products.
The company, with over 90 years of growth, designs and manufactures equipment for the Aviation, Maritime, Military, Aerospace, and Rail industries. They pride themselves on creating bespoke products at short notice. You will be responsible for achieving sales targets that meet or exceed budgets and for communicating action plans when results differ from expectations.
You must be comfortable visiting and working at trade shows worldwide, meeting end-user customers directly to discuss product benefits and pain points. Applicants should be tech-savvy, experienced with ERP/CRM systems, and capable of holding client meetings via video calls.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for travel and career advancement in military or aerospace sales. Ideally, you will be based in the North of the UK, preferably not lower than Birmingham, with occasional visits to the East Anglia office.
