Do you have experience selling technical products into OEMs within the Defence & Aerospace sectors in the North of the UK?

Are you experienced with electrical/electromechanical components, or similar products that need to be sold/specified as solutions into manufacturing stages or as bespoke additional products?

Are you keen to take over a strong customer base and a fantastic product range for an industry-leading UK engineering firm?

We are working with an experienced BDM, selling for an OEM into military, defence, and aerospace sectors, to join a results-driven team and take authority over the ongoing management and growth of the Northern UK markets.

The ideal candidate will be technically capable, with existing exposure to military/aerospace industries, and have experience in a field/home-based technical business development role, demonstrating success in winning business and selling products.

The company, with over 90 years of growth, designs and manufactures equipment for the Aviation, Maritime, Military, Aerospace, and Rail industries. They are a proud UK manufacturer capable of creating bespoke products at short notice. Your target will be to provide sales orders at profitable levels that meet or exceed targets and to communicate action plans when results differ from expectations.

You must be comfortable visiting and working on stands at international tradeshows and meeting end-user customers directly to discuss technical product ranges and their pain points. All applicants should be tech/software savvy, experienced with ERP/CRM systems, and able to hold client meetings over video calls.

This role offers an opportunity for travel and career advancement in military or aerospace sales. Ideally, you will be based in the North of the UK, preferably not lower than Birmingham. You may need to visit their East Anglia office once or twice a month, depending on business needs.
