Do you have experience selling technical products into OEMs within the Defence & Aerospace sectors in the North of the UK?
Are you experienced with electrical/electromechanical components, or similar products that need to be sold/specified as a solution into manufacturing stages or as bespoke additional products?
Are you keen to take over a strong customer base and a fantastic product range for an industry-leading UK engineering firm?
We are working with an experienced Business Development Manager, selling for an OEM into military, defence, and aerospace sectors, to join a results-driven team and take authority over the ongoing management and growth of the Northern UK markets.
They seek a technically capable BDM, ideally with existing exposure to military/aerospace, with experience in a field/home-based technical business development role, demonstrating success in winning business and selling products.
The company, with over 90 years of growth, designs and manufactures equipment for the Aviation, Maritime, Military, Aerospace, and Rail industries. As a proud UK manufacturer, it can create bespoke products at short notice. The role involves providing sales orders at profitable levels meeting or exceeding targets and communicating action plans when results differ from expectations.
Candidates must be comfortable visiting and working at trade shows worldwide, and meeting with end-user customers to discuss technical product ranges and their pain points. All applicants should be tech/software savvy, experienced with ERP/CRM systems, and comfortable holding client meetings over video calls.
This role offers an opportunity for candidates who enjoy travelling and wish to further their careers in military or aerospace sales, at a successful and growing business with excellent benefits and career prospects. Ideally, candidates should be located in the North of the UK, preferably not lower than Birmingham, with occasional visits to the East Anglia office.
