Business Development Manager - Data Innovations

For over 30 years, our client has been providing business intelligence services to the pharmaceutical sector in the UK and beyond.

As dedicated innovators, they are passionate about data and bringing healthcare analytics to life. Their mission is to drive business growth in the global healthcare sector through smart use of data, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.

As they expand their services, they are seeking a self-starting Business Development Manager - Data Innovations. This newly created role combines sales and marketing responsibilities, reporting directly to the Commercial Director.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in launching new services and driving the organisation's growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement a marketing strategy for new-to-market services.
  2. Manage a budget for marketing and travel.
  3. Generate sales leads and new business within the pharmaceutical and wider healthcare sector.
  4. Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in the pharmaceutical industry.
  5. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  6. Collaborate with the internal team to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategies.
  7. Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
Experience
  1. Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical business intelligence / marketing operations.
  2. Preferably experience on the agency side with established connections.
  3. Proactive and confident networking and meeting people.
  4. Comfortable making calls and developing relationships with potential clients.
  5. Personable and self-motivated.
  6. Willingness to travel within the UK and Europe as required.
Package
  1. Generous base salary with performance-based bonus and company car.
  2. Hybrid working (Monday & Tuesday from our offices in Surrey).
