About the Role
The Business Development Manager will drive growth across BREEAM services by identifying new opportunities, building strategic relationships, and promoting sustainability-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities across key market sectors

Lead end-to-end consultative sales processes, from initial engagement to proposal and negotiation

Promote the value of BREEAM and related sustainability services to prospective clients

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners

Collaborate with internal teams to align client needs with service offerings

Track activity and performance using CRM systems, providing regular insights and reporting

    What We Are Looking For
    We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following:
    • Proven experience in business development, technical sales, or consultative selling roles

    • Understanding of sustainability, the built environment, or certification schemes such as BREEAM

    • Ability to identify and convert new business opportunities into long-term relationships

    • Strong commercial awareness and a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets

    • Skilled in engaging with stakeholders at all levels and tailoring proposals to meet client needs

    • Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales reporting tools to inform decision-making

    • Experience in presenting complex information in a clear, persuasive, and accessible way

    • Knowledge of current industry trends, particularly within sustainability and construction

    Work Location Options


    Mostly Remote – This role is primarily home-based, with occasional travel to our head office in Watford, or customer locations forplanned meetings (twice per month).
    There may be a requirement for more frequent head office visits during the initial training period.

    Candidate Review – Week Commencing 5th May
    Our specialist hiring team will review all applications and shortlist candidates. We’ll then update you on the outcome of your application.

    First Stage Interviews – 14th to 23rd May
    If shortlisted, we will invite you to a virtual or in-person interview.

    Second Stage Interviews – 26th May to 13th June
    If successful in the first stage, you will be invited to a virtual or in-person second-stage interview.
