Job Description:

Nationwide Platforms is seeking a Business Development Manager for Construction & Infrastructure Projects in the North West. The role involves managing, developing, and growing a portfolio of Major Construction & Infrastructure Projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strategic, commercial approach to Project Management, aiming to deliver profitable revenue growth with Main Contractors and their supply chains.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and growing a portfolio of Major Projects for long-term, profitable growth.
  • Delivering revenue targets and expanding market share.
  • Researching significant projects and creating a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Forecasting future revenue streams and operational support.
  • Achieving KPIs related to revenue, activity, and machines on hire.
  • Developing project mobilization plans with clients.
  • Monitoring service delivery and operational KPIs to improve performance.
  • Implementing account management strategies to align stakeholders.
  • Monitoring customer debt levels and supporting on-time payments.
  • Maintaining opportunity pipelines and updating CRM systems.
  • Collaborating with regional teams on sales approaches and service support.
  • Understanding the impact of commercial agreements and developing value-added partnerships.
  • Building strategic partnerships focusing on Safety & Sustainability.
  • Gaining sector-specific knowledge to develop relevant products and services.

Candidate requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in strategic account management with a successful growth record.
  • Experience in consultative and strategic selling, exceeding sales targets.
  • Financial and commercial acumen with proposal development skills.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Results-oriented, responsive, passionate, and persistent.
  • Confidence, ambition, and initiative.
  • IT literacy, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce).
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with key decision makers.
