Business Development Manager - Construction

Are you passionate about identifying new business opportunities and driving growth? My client is looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join their team, with potential for progression within the next year.

The Company

My client is a Specialist Subcontractor with a reputable name in the industry. They have a stable turnover and healthy profit margins and are on the path to double their turnover in the next 2 years. The company places a strong emphasis on individual development, leading to low staff turnover. HQ based in Essex with projects in London.

The Role - Business Development Manager / Sales

If you excel at strategic, consultative selling and have experience in complex, high-value sales cycles, this is your opportunity to make a real impact. Working as part of a BD team, you will be responsible for:

  1. Driving high-value, long-term partnerships within the construction industry.
  2. Seeking out new business opportunities and understanding potential leads.
  3. Building strong relationships and navigating challenges with confidence.
  4. Engaging in extensive client exploration, asking insightful questions, and demonstrating the value of the business/solution.
  5. Maintaining high energy levels, being engaging, and excelling in client-facing interactions.
  6. Nurturing opportunities through to BID stage, and then sales on the client side.

The role will be predominantly field-based, with two days in the office required.

Essential to have previous experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
