Job Description:

A unique and exciting role as a Business Development Manager focusing on Industrial Components and Consumables within the construction and industrial markets in Manchester. This position offers significant career progression within a multinational group, playing a key role in new business development and future success.

BASIC SALARY: £50,000 – £60,000

The role involves working across North and Central England, with potential locations including Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Chesterfield, Nottingham, Warrington, Liverpool, Northwich, Stoke on Trent, Stafford, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Leicester, Derby, Northampton.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the New Business Development and Key Account Teams to secure high-value contracts at senior management and board levels, including roles such as COO, CFO, MD, and senior procurement, logistics, production, legal, and engineering professionals.
  • Conduct deep-dive assessments with clients to understand operational challenges and propose comprehensive supply chain solutions from kitting, vending, JIT, to asset management technology.
  • Engage in multi-stage sales processes, asking insightful questions to build credibility with senior decision-makers and shop floor personnel alike.
  • Transform prospects into clients, supporting team targets and contributing to overall business growth.
Person Specification:
  • Proven success in senior business development or account management roles within industrial or technical sectors, with knowledge of supply chain, logistics, or operational solutions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at board level, understanding operational and commercial challenges, and presenting credible solutions.
  • Strong relationship-building and presentation skills.
