Position Summary:
The Business Development Manager will drive growth by identifying, acquiring, and managing partnerships with new leisure & corporate travel businesses and other stakeholders in the B2B travel space. Also includes reactivation and retention of existing clients.
The role involves crafting strategic plans in own region, analysing market trends, and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the company's market position and revenue. The role is a field sales position with frequent travel.
Key Responsibilities:
oFocus on adding new partners to TBO’s customer base via proactive hunting of leads.
oDevelop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue and market growth targets.
oConduct market research to identify new opportunities, trends, and potential areas of expansion within the B2B travel industry.
oAnalyze competitors' offerings and market positioning to refine sales strategies.
oBuild and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as travel agencies, corporate accounts, and other channel partners.
oIdentify and target potential B2B clients, presenting tailored solutions to meet their travel requirements.
oManage contract negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and successful onboarding of new clients.
oDefine strategy to increase the conversion of leads into growing partnerships.
oTrain, hand hold, guide new clients to become experts using TBO platform.
oAct as a liaison between clients and internal teams to resolve issues and maintain high satisfaction levels.
oPrepare and present sales forecasts, pipelines, and reports to management.
oTrack KPIs and measure success against strategic goals, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
·Candidates must have minimum 3 years of experience in travel the travel sector, preferably within B2B.
·Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive market.
·Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the travel industry including online distribution systems.
·Sales Expertise: Strong sales acumen with experience in consultative selling and client engagement.
·Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for building strong client relationships.
·Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable business strategies.
·Negotiation: Skilled in contract negotiations to drive favourable outcomes.
·Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and travel industry software.
