Town/City: Southern England

Location: South (M4 Corridor and below). Current accounts are Stanmore, Southampton, clinic in central London, Bristol, Kent, Royal Devon and Exeter. There are currently only 12 cartilage centres in the UK that are allowed to perform this therapy

Product: A product used for the minimally invasive repair of cartilage defects in the knee following traumatic or degenerative defects.

Who you’ll be working for:

You will be joining a company that’s redefining care through innovative solutions so that empowered healthcare professionals can restore lives. Proudly specialising in Joint Preservation and Extremities across the UK and Ireland, they work with a range of suppliers to offer healthcare professionals choice from the latest advancements, alongside their product advice and procedural knowledge.

What you’ll enjoy:

  • According to the NHS, there should be 500 cases a year for this procedure - currently there are 150 so there is a lot of opportunity and growth is expected.
  • This is a new product which is the UK’s only approved ACI system and is taking the market by storm.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will be responsible for account management and business development across southern England and Wales. This procedure can only be performed at approved centres. The Orthopaedic consultants drive this so you will work closely with Surgeons to build their business case to get it approved.
  • You will have a demonstrable track record of sales success, ideally in the orthopaedic market, and be forward-thinking, collaborative and results-focused. You will be organised, lead by example and go the extra mile to support your customers and colleagues.
  • You will work in operating theatres, ITU/ICU, Outpatient and Community settings in close association with consultants, clinicians and nursing staff.
  • You will deliver training and offer sales support for current and new customers.
  • You will present professional business cases and value propositions.
  • You will assist with the tender process to ensure products are accepted into the NHS and other medical organisations.
  • Stakeholders selling to: Orthopaedic consultants, Business Managers, Pharmacy, theatre staff, surgeons

Here’s what you need:

  • An ability and willingness to travel regularly and extensively throughout the South of England.
  • A strong set of clinician relationships within the fields of Orthopaedics and Cell Therapies, built on a broad level of personal respect gained within the industry.
  • A strong knowledge of the UK Orthopaedics and Cell Therapies market, both from a clinical and industry perspective.
  • Ability to work productively and collaboratively with internal and external team members at all levels.
  • An enthusiasm to accompany customers and colleagues to educational events and to make regular face-to-face client and supplier visits, both nationally and internationally.
  • The ability to work independently to improve the company’s prospects and deliver on personal objectives.

Bonus points if you have: Experience in joint preservation/sports knee background.

Basic Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 dependent on skills/experience

Bonus: Open ended (but will earn £20k comfortably)
