Salary: £35,000 base with OTE up to £60,000
Location: Field based with regular attendance in Corby / Leicester locations
We're seeking an ambitious and proactive
Business Development Manager to elevate our client base in the SME to mid-market segment. You'll hit the ground running using essential sales tools and processes. A background in the energy industry is highly preferred—bringing domain insight to enhance our strategic growth. This role will allow the right person to leverage your energy-market expertise to make an immediate impact, the autonomy to shape and execute your own business strategy, and to be part of a growing team that values innovation.
What You'll Do
Sales & Pipeline Management
- Own and grow your sales pipeline, from lead generation through contract close
- Take initiative to identify new business opportunities through networking, events, and outreach
- Manage CRM entries and sales processes fully to create great reliable data
Relationship Building & Market Intelligence
- Build trusted relationships with SME and mid-market clients to drive new sales
- Maintain a strong knowledge of competitor activity and market trends
- Position our services strategically based on insights and intelligence
Service Knowledge & Collaboration
- Gain strong familiarity with our energy-focused services and value proposition
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, technical) to align proposals and messaging
- Provide market feedback to inform product/service improvements
Requirements
- Proven success in a b2b or energy-sector sales role
- Strong pipeline management and CRM competency
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Self-driven, highly organised, and able to manage multiple sales cycles
