Business Development Manager – Architectural Ironmongery

Job Title: Business Development Manager – Architectural Ironmongery

Industry Sector: Architectural Ironmongery, Hardware, Door Hardware, Ironmonger, Doorsets, Architectural Hardware, Access Controls, Hinges, Locks, Locking Systems

Areas to be covered: North

Remuneration: £50,000 - £60,000 + negotiable bonus / commission

Benefits: Company car or £500 - £600 car allowance and full benefits

The role of the Business Development Manager – Architectural Ironmongery will involve:

  1. Field sales positions selling a comprehensive range of high quality door hardware & architectural ironmongery
  2. Majority of your time will be spent generating specifications from architects and interior designers
  3. Remainder of your time will be spent dealing with main contractors and sub-contractors
  4. Average order values of £5-10k but on larger projects going as high as £250k
  5. Turnover target will be discussed and determined on your experience

The ideal applicant will be:

  1. Must have technical knowledge / experience working with or selling architectural ironmongery with a Dip. GAI and Reg. Architectural Ironmongery
  2. Must have experience of selling to architects, main contractors & sub-contractors
  3. Genuine enthusiasm and capable of working autonomously
  4. Technically capable
  5. Proactive and personable
