Job Description:

Amazon is innovating in the Operations and Logistics space and looking for a driven, entrepreneurial, and analytical Business Development Manager for the UK. The ideal candidate will be excited about launching new initiatives and have experience in B2B sales with enterprise customers, focusing on negotiation of strategic deals.

We are reinventing go-to-market strategies, lead generation, and account management. The successful candidate will partner with Product Management and Technical teams to scale solutions nationwide.

The role requires navigating ambiguity, creating sales strategies from scratch, and executing ambitious product adoption goals. Experience in building relationships across Operations, Procurement, Finance, and IT, along with a proven track record of meeting revenue targets, is essential.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving revenue, adoption, and market share for our product.
  • Building trust with customers and recommending suitable solutions.
  • Measuring performance and identifying improvement areas.
  • Communicating market needs to internal teams.
  • Setting program goals, tracking progress, and overcoming obstacles.
  • Analyzing purchasing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Advising customers on best practices to increase spend adoption.
  • Coordinating with technical teams for seamless integration.
  • Testing bespoke solutions with operations and product teams.
  • Expanding business relationships within Amazon.
  • Managing risks and escalations.
  • Achieving or surpassing adoption and revenue targets.

A day in the life:

This role involves identifying new business opportunities in logistics and shipping, sourcing leads, building pipelines, and staying updated on industry trends. You will engage with clients, lead negotiations, manage contracts, and ensure smooth onboarding. Post-onboarding, focus on driving product adoption, optimizing processes, and seeking expansion opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience using data to improve processes.
  • Experience in business development, partner management, or sales.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in online advertising or high-tech products/services.
