Amazon Shipping has exciting plans to accelerate growth across 2024 and beyond, and we are seeking talented individuals to join us on this journey.

The successful Business Development Manager will be comfortable navigating ambiguity and operating in a start-up environment. We expect the person in this position to be a self-starter, capable of creating a sales strategy through a mix of self-prospecting and marketing-qualified leads, and comfortable defining their own structure and ways of working. This role is pivotal in achieving our ambitious product adoption goals, expanding into new industries, and developing across sales markets. Responsibilities include acquiring new customers and partners for long-term partnerships, onboarding, and managing these customers to enhance technical and project management skills.

You will have experience coordinating cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and IT, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding program goals and targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities for Amazon Shipping
  2. Drive revenue, adoption, and market share for our product
  3. Manage prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline development (self-prospecting and converting marketing leads)
  4. Engage with clients and build strong relationships
  5. Negotiate and close deals
  6. Oversee customer onboarding and account management
  7. Continuously analyze processes and identify opportunities to improve user experience, reduce costs, and enhance organizational performance
A Day in the Life

Your daily activities will include sourcing new business opportunities, utilizing various sales and marketing channels, and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline. Staying updated on trends within Logistics, Supply Chain, and Shipping is essential. Engaging with clients, earning their trust, and customizing business plans to meet their needs are key. You will lead negotiations, manage contracts, and ensure smooth onboarding. Post-onboarding, your focus will shift to driving product adoption and optimizing customer spend, while proactively seeking opportunities for expansion and addressing challenges.
