Business Development Manager – Adjacent Health Care UK, Ireland and Nordics

Position Overview: This role focuses on developing new business in the adjacent healthcare markets across UK, Ireland, and Nordics, collaborating with regional and national distributor partners. The main responsibilities include managing the commercial strategy for the segment (covering dental emergency services, veterinary, primary care, aged care, agricultural, pharmacy), and executing sales activities, including education and product guidance to distributors and end-users, in partnership with marketing and back-office teams to meet sales and GP targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic plans.
  2. Manage and grow distributor partnerships.
  3. Collaborate with marketing to develop and execute strategic and tactical plans.
  4. Expand the O&M Halyard portfolio through new opportunities and distribution channels.
  5. Achieve sales revenue and gross profit targets.
  6. Develop and manage a network of key distributors, setting objectives and conducting regular reviews.
  7. Negotiate pricing and contracts with distributors.
  8. Promote Halyard products and solutions within distributor networks and key accounts.
  9. Train distributors and support them in accelerating new business conversions.
  10. Identify market development opportunities and work with support teams to create value.
  11. Maintain accurate records of business activities in CRM systems.
  12. Monitor competitor activity and gather market intelligence.
  13. Coordinate with Supply Chain for demand planning.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years in B2B sales roles, with prior distributor management experience.
  • Experience in adjacent care segments such as dental, veterinary, primary, or aged care.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Customer-oriented with strong results focus.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
  • Self-motivated with high autonomy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Willing to travel up to 60% within UK, Ireland, and Nordics.
