A leading global manufacturer of vehicle lighting is seeking two Business Development Managers to drive growth in the OEM and Aftermarket sectors across UK and European territories. One role requires a fluent French speaker. The successful candidates will manage existing customers while identifying new business opportunities, implement strategies for growth, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships. A strong work ethic and proven success in business development are essential.
A leading global manufacturer of vehicle lighting for off-road applications used in Construction, Agriculture, Forestry, Mining, and the Material Handling sectors. This company is seeking two recruit two dynamic Business Development Managers (BDM) to drive growth in the OEM and Aftermarket sectors.
The two roles will be splitting UK and European territories between them and whilst one role will not require any additional language skills, one of them really does need a fluent French speaker.
Main Purpose of the Roles:
Manage a portfolio of existing customers while identifying and converting new business opportunities within the designated European sales territory. Ensure the sales funnel is strong enough to meet new business targets.
Key Accountabilities:
Identify, contact, and convert new business opportunities within the territory.
Develop and implement commercial strategies to drive new business growth.
Build strong networks with key stakeholders in target companies, including purchasing, engineering, R&D, product management, and supply chain.
Maintain accurate CRM records, ensuring an optimized sales funnel and management of long lead-time opportunities.
Manage, retain, and grow an existing portfolio of regional accounts, deeply understanding customer goals and needs.
Establish effective communication with all key stakeholders in managed accounts.
Proactively position the company for new product development (NPD) projects.
Lead commercial negotiations in conjunction with the Head of Sales.
Achieve sales targets for both existing accounts and new business.
Provide regular reporting on sales pipeline activity and maintain accurate CRM updates.
Keep strategic account development plans current with mutual objectives, visit plans, and performance reviews.
Evaluate and manage customer risk to avoid contract losses or adverse actions.
Support business initiatives such as trade shows and customer-specific events.

High level of integrity and professionalism.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and CRM systems (ideally Salesforce).
Multilingual (Fluent French essential for one of the roles) and experienced in international sales territory management.
Enthusiastic with a strong work ethic and drive to achieve results.
