Business Development Manager

Description
Do you have experience of selling a SaaS product into the public sector or Construction? Are you someone who is passionate about sales methodology, understanding customer pain points and consultative selling?

We're looking for a Business Development Manager to join the Business Development team. You'll be responsible for securing new business within Public Sector that are a key focus in our business growth strategy.

What that means day to day
Building strong relationships with clients in the public sector/construction space and having a broad understanding, and application of sales methodology is important in this role. You will spend your time meeting with clients online, managing demo sessions of our product, and consultatively selling and closing deals.
In this role you will have a specific set of target sectors and you will immerse yourself in these by attending relevant networking events, attending round table sessions, hosting webinars, and creating meeting opportunities through self generated leads.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Utilising sales acumen to identify and pursue new business opportunities and managing a pipeline that will come from a combination of self-generated and company provided leads.
  • Proficiently managing the sales process and follow proven sales methodology to ensure you can accurately forecast each month and quarter.
  • Developing a targeted strategy to identify and win new business in line with your sales targets.
  • Maintaining a solid understanding of the product and service offering, as well as market and industry updates to be an expert in the field of supply chain compliance solutions and become a trusted advisor to a range of clients.
  • Expertly navigating relationships with multiple stakeholders including procurement, health and safety and sustainability Directors to drive success across your sales pipeline.

What you’ll need to be successful
  • Customer outcome and results focused with a consultative approach to uncover and solve customer’s needs, preferably in a SaaS company, working with Enterprise clients.
  • Commercially confident and know how to generate profit for your team and value for your customers.
  • Self-motivated and have the drive to succeed in a high performance environment and be hold a strong track record of delivering against your new business targets.
  • Continuously strives to learn and improve performance and results.
  • Would be advantageous to have previous experience selling into the Public Sector with a strong understanding of procurement / supply chain in this space.
