Business Development Manager

I’m assisting one of my clients who are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their business. They are a leading international civil engineering company, specialising in Transportation, Energy, Tunnelling, Building, Civil and Structural Engineering projects throughout the UK.

The role

If you are an experienced Business Development Manager within the Civil Engineering sector, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining regular dialogue with new and existing customers, and identifying, assessing, and cultivating new client leads and opportunities that align with the overall business strategy and market sectors to enable company growth.

You will also lead sector pipeline meetings, prepare and distribute minutes and action points to discuss current and future opportunities.

The role may require travel to various project sites and flexibility to work extended hours as needed. The primary locations for this role will be either Swindon or London.

About you

It is essential that you have sound knowledge of the UK construction market and relevant procurement legislation, along with strong knowledge of Civil Engineering.

You should possess exceptional presentation and client communication skills, and be able to maintain industry and competitor intelligence; attend CECA meetings and other relevant industry events.
