Job description

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our growing team of like-minded tech people. You'll be generating new opportunities and clients for the business, leveraging your network and expertise to drive growth. Should you choose to accept, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Lead Generation & Management: Build strong prospect relationships, leverage networks, target opportunities by location and sector, and collaborate on outbound campaigns with Marketing.
  • Sales Administration: Log opportunities in the CRM system, maintain an accurate database, prepare proposals and contracts, and invoice clients efficiently.
  • Technical Collaboration: Liaise with Solution Architects to scope solutions tailored to prospects' needs and hand over secured projects to the Project Management team.
  • Event Participation: Represent the company at events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities while hosting prospects at the office to strengthen partnerships.
  • Reporting & Meetings: Prepare weekly activity reports, deliver impactful presentations, and actively engage in internal and external sales meetings.

The role demands excellent relationship building skills as you'll be hosting prospects at our offices, attending partner meetings, and building lasting connections across the industry. You'll need to balance the strategic aspects of business development with hands-on administration, including precise database management and weekly reporting on outbound activity.

  • Excellent proven IT background, ideally for a Microsoft Partner/Managed Service Provider
  • Commercially aware with proven sales experience
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Adaptable and proactive approach to evolving client needs
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
  • Must hold full clean UK Driving Licence
  • Must be able to deal with technical product information
  • Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation.
  • Well versed in managing a busy workload and adhering to deadlines.
  • Excellent conversational fluency in English is required to clearly explain complex technical issues
