A leading waste solutions provider in Sheffield is seeking a talented Business Development Manager to drive new business sales and enhance existing client relationships. You will be responsible for direct sales activities, meet quarterly targets, and manage a sales territory. Ideal candidates should have a proven record of achieving targets, experience in B2B selling, and a full UK driving license. The role offers commission and development opportunities within a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Previous experience selling within the waste industry may be an advantage.

About Us

Panda Recycling is a customer‑centric, forward‑thinking waste and recycling solutions provider with depots across the UK and Ireland. Our award‑winning business is seeking a talented, hardworking and ambitious Business Development Manager to help us grow our business and be part of the wider Panda Group.

The Role

This role is predominantly new business requiring in‑person, direct sales and upselling to existing customers; there will be elements of account management following contracts that you sign. After the initial bespoke training program, you will be required to hit quarterly targets based on the annualised revenue from contracts signed.

Responsibilities
  • In‑person canvassing; B2B presenting the business professionally, selling the unique features and benefits of our services
  • Upsell waste and recycling solutions to existing customers
  • Managing and growing a sales territory
  • Sales prospecting and pricing negotiations across your territory
  • Handle all inbound enquiries assigned to you
  • Pre‑qualify opportunities to ensure they meet ‘business fit’ and pass credit check
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities
  • Collate accurate prospect information, ensuring the CRM is updated daily with the sales support team
  • Participation in regional networking events, showcasing our services to potential prospects
  • Complete weekly KPI Sheet
  • Attend and participate in fortnightly/monthly sales meetings
  • Book appointments with target organisations' key management personnel to present the company’s proposition, highlights, features, advantages and benefits
  • Cross‑sell additional services including shredding, hazardous, nationals
