Business Development Manager

The Role: The Business Development Manager will be office based primarily in Ormskirk working alongside a dedicated Inside Sales Executive in a partnership to build, and execute, a business development strategy to literally take on the world! The Internal Sales Executive resource will support you in business intelligence, mapping markets, and adding pipeline to the top of the funnel.

Selling a bespoke range of incinerators used in areas of the globe without infrastructure for waste management, the Business Development Manager will be targeting NGO’s (non-government organizations), specialist procurement businesses, owner operators, healthcare providers, and military organisations to find out where the opportunities lie to expand their current customer portfolio though a multi-channel outreach approach, international visits, and utilising a strong marketing team to help reach them.

Our client’s range of incinerators are used for a range of medical, hazardous, and general waste disposal applications and they have a history of selling them into warzones and areas of crisis through to island nations, remote healthcare facilities, and into hospitality businesses all over. This role will suit an experienced business development professional who has a track record of selling capital equipment globally, understanding the longer nature of the sales process, and is agile enough to sell to different cultures & countries worldwide.

Requirements: To be considered for the Business Development Manager role you must:

·Have a demonstrable track record in technical product sales globally

·A hunter mentality, a process for finding new business, and a drive to get it

·Be a natural relationship builder

·Have an understanding of sales methodologies & how to execute them

·Comfortable with international travel as part of the role (up to 20% of the time)

·Be an effective communicator & negotiator – language skills in French or Spanish a real plus

The Package for the Business Development Manager is:

·Basic: up to £60,000 DOE

·OTE = 20-25% of basic salary

·Benefits: 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Pension, Medicash care plan available
