This is more than just a selling role; you will work with the board and then deliver, implement and drive the company's New Market Entry strategy. This is a senior and very important position; success will lead to promotion to Director within a global leader in a multi-billion group. The key to success in this role is a proven track record and a profound understanding of the Aerospace markets in Europe, or similar experience in Gas Turbines, Medical, Space, or Oil and Gas sectors, all of which have demanding standards and high regulation.

The Candidate:

  • Outstanding proven track record in selling, penetrating, and winning business in critical markets across Europe
  • Ideally experienced in Aerospace Tier 1 and OEM markets
  • Knowledge of metals and metal components in the above markets is preferred
  • Experience or desire to move into strategic new market entry business development; this will be challenging but suitable for a resilient character
  • Excellent new business and key account management skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships over a long sales cycle
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to map out sectors, self-generate leads, and develop long-term sales relationships
  • Sales management experience or senior business development background is advantageous
  • Ability to forecast accurately and manage budgets
  • Pipeline management and closing skills
  • Strong strategic, commercial, and emotional intelligence
  • Excellent communication skills, able to sell and communicate effectively at various levels
  • Ability to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within corporate networks
