Business Development Manager

Staffline Ireland are recruiting for a Business Development Manager on behalf of a leading food company. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for spearheading sales growth and expanding market presence. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the business development strategies and driving revenue growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development plans to achieve and exceed sales targets, with a focus on expanding the customer base and driving revenue growth.
  • Utilize your expertise in creating detailed reports and analyse sales data, market trends, and customer preferences. Use this data-driven approach to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
  • Lead and inspire the van-sales and distribution teams, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure their success.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential clients. Leverage this information to develop targeted sales strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their needs and providing exceptional customer service to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess sales performance and develop actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to design and implement effective promotional campaigns and initiatives that support business development efforts.
  • Act as a brand ambassador to network, showcase the products, and generate leads.
  • Any other duties role may involve.

Person Specification:

  • Proven track record of success in sales and business development ideally within the fresh food industry, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record in identifying and winning new business.
  • Excellent customer focus, communication skills and ability to build rapport with customers and the team.
  • Proficient in creating detailed reports and utilizing computer skills to analyse sales data and market trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate our value proposition to clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • A passion for the baked goods industry and a deep understanding of the market and customer preferences.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

The Rewards

The successful Business Development Manager will enjoy a competitive salary circa £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience plus Car or Car Allowance and Bonus.
