Position: Business Development Manager

Anzac Drinks is one of NI’s most successful family-owned Alcoholic Drinks Distributors with over 30 years’ experience in supplying the licensed trade. We pride ourselves in being a step ahead of the game and have a market leading portfolio of brands to back this up.

We now have a unique and exciting opportunity for someone to come and work within our field sales team to manage Counties Down & Armagh.

Position Status: Permanent – Full Time

Territory: Counties Down & Armagh

Responsibilities
  • Manage various types of accounts in both on and off trade sectors, developing Anzac Drinks’ share of the business through upselling the company’s agency and specialised brands.
  • Maintain and grow existing customer relationships by actively engaging with customers via weekly / fortnightly face to face calls.
  • Identify and pursue new profitable business opportunities in your agreed territory.
  • Actively participate in all company meetings both internally and with brand owners.
  • Assist with organising trade events within your agreed territory and further afield.
  • Organise and host tasting events to increase sales of Anzac’s ‘agency’ products.
  • Work closely with all company departments – admin, marketing, credit control, logistics and warehouse to ensure efficient customer service is maintained.
  • Complete sales reports and queries within the agreed timeframe.
  • Undertake any duties assigned to you by your sales manager which are consistent with the job title.
Skills, Attributes and Experience
  • Energetic and hard working with a desire to work for one of the market leading wholesalers is a must. Not tied to the daily grind of 9-5, occasional weekend and evening work may be required for tastings and events.
  • Previous sales / hospitality experience preferred, however if the right candidate applies with the right qualities, you will be considered.
  • Ability to work off own initiative and make decisions, as well as being a strong team player.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the NI Drinks trade showing an interest in innovative brands amongst Premium Spirits, Liqueurs, Wine and Craft Beer.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen – ability to work out margins and RRPs.
  • Competent IT skills – previous use of a CRM system beneficial.
  • Educated to degree level desirable - Maths and English GCSE essential.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
