A growing and dynamic logistics business is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition and support its continued commercial growth. With a strong presence in warehousing, distribution, and transport services, the company is looking to expand its customer base across key sectors.
This role is focused purely on winning new business. Working closely with senior leadership, you will take ownership of identifying, targeting, and securing new B2B opportunities in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a targeted new business strategy to generate revenue growth
Identify, research, and approach potential customers across a range of sectors
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to negotiation and contract close
Lead on proposals, tenders, and presentations to win new contracts
Maintain a healthy pipeline through proactive outreach and lead generation activity
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals are aligned with operational capability
Report on pipeline progress and performance using CRM and sales tools
Represent the business at industry events and networking opportunities
Experience & Skills Required
Proven track record in new business sales within logistics, supply chain, or a B2B services environment
Skilled in identifying leads, handling objections, and closing deals
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Highly self-motivated and results-oriented with a hunter mentality
Able to work independently and manage time effectively
Experience using CRM systems for pipeline tracking
Full UK Driving Licence
