Business Development Manager (BDM) – Canada

About Us:

Stockholm Precision Tools (SPT) is a global leader in directional survey technology, providing high-precision solutions for the mining, oil & gas, and geotechnical industries. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead our commercial expansion in Canada.

Position Overview:

As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing client relationships, and expanding our market presence across Canada. Your role will involve identifying new business opportunities, negotiating agreements, and ensuring customer satisfaction with our industry-leading measurement tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Expansion & Business Growth: Identify and develop new business opportunities in the Canadian mining industry, including equipment sales and rental agreements.
  • Client & Distributor Management: Establish, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including mining companies, drilling contractors, and geologists.
  • Sales & Negotiation: Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring revenue growth and long-term partnerships.
  • Industry Analysis & Strategy Development: Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to refine sales strategies.
  • Technical Expertise & Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of our tools and services to provide tailored solutions to clients.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with sales, marketing, and technical teams to develop proposals, conduct demonstrations, and support customer onboarding.
  • Reporting & Performance Tracking: Provide regular reports to senior management on sales progress, market conditions, and growth strategies.

Requirements:

  • Residency & Work Authorization: Must be a Canadian resident or have a valid Canadian work permit.
  • Location: Ontario
  • Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the mining sector, preferably in drilling, exploration, or geotechnical services.
  • Educational Background: Degree in Geology, Drilling, Mechanical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering.
  • Proven Sales & Business Development Experience: At least 5 years in a similar role, managing sales, partnerships, or distribution within the mining industry.
  • Language Skills: Fluent English
  • Technical & CRM Proficiency: Experience working with CRM and ERP systems is an asset.
