Business Development Manager of UK SCALE Centre

Loughborough University and its partners, through a new long-term partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Centre for Transportation and Logistics (MIT-CTL), have established the UK Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence Centre (UK SCALE Centre) as a member of the MIT Global SCALE Network.

The UK SCALE Centre focuses on research, education, and industry collaboration, aiming to become the UK's hub for supply chain innovation and talent development. It bridges academic research with industry R&D, driving innovative solutions to UK's logistics challenges and preparing future professionals with essential skills.

The role and what we’re looking for

Reporting to the UK SCALE Centre Manager, the Business Development Manager will:

  • Implement client/partner engagement strategies
  • Foster relationships with businesses and organizations
  • Initiate and follow up on leads
  • Manage contracts with client organizations

The role involves working closely with industry partners to understand their challenges and opportunities, developing relationships across industry sectors, and supporting the Centre's business growth and impact. The position is full-time, open-ended, with a start date as soon as possible, offering hybrid working options.
