Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding

Location: Feltham, UK

Salary: Up to £70,000 (DOE) + Commission + Car Allowance

My client is looking for a results driven, Business Development Manager to help grow their business and Freight Forwarding sector. The right candidate will be an experienced and fully established sales-person who has worked previously for a UK based Freight Forwarder and have the ability to bring on accounts and business. Knowledge and experience with Air Freight is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and maintain e?ective business relationships with new and existing clients, offering excellent customer service.
  • To generate and follow up sales leads, visiting potential and existing customers to obtain new business at reasonable pro?t.
  • Promote the business to new and existing clients to help grow the Freight Forwarding sector.
  • Provide accurate information to internal operations sta? in order that all relevant administration can be completed e?ciently.
  • Be up-to-date on current developments in the market and information on competitors.

Requirements:

  • Freight Forwarding Sales / Business Development Manager Experience.
  • Air Freight/Ocean Freight experience.
  • Experience working for a freight forwarding company
