Business Development Manager job available with an established retail design and experience consultancy firm in NW London. This is a great opportunity for an experienced business development manager or business development executive to join a talented team of designers and consultants with global reach and a strong position within the industry.

Our client has a deep understanding and knowledge of the retail design sector and provides a range of design services to businesses across the globe, including partnering with some of the most well-known names in the telecommunications, media, and technology sectors. They’re now looking to appoint a business development manager who is confident speaking with business owners and senior management and has a charismatic and creative approach to their work. Our client is also open to considering recent graduates with an understanding or experience within the design sector but looking for a career within business development.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the founder of the business and senior management to understand feasible leads and opportunities for business development
  • New client outreach and prospecting via a variety of channels, including calls, social media, emails, and marketing campaigns
  • Nurturing existing leads and maintaining a healthy pipeline of new and existing business
  • Review and make judgments on inbound leads for feasible prospects
  • Complete business development administration tasks and maintain databases
  • Research within the sector to understand trends and opportunities.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in business development, communications, marketing, or similar
  • Confident in communicating to senior level staff and presenting new ideas internally
  • Prior experience in market research, trend analysis, or similar
  • Knowledge of the telecoms/retail sector would be advantageous
  • Degree qualified in business development or similar would be advantageous; a degree in a design-related subject would also be desirable for understanding the industry.
