The focus of a Business Development Manager is: Lead generation, client qualification, and supporting proposal development by understanding client-specific requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team focused upon one of the fastest growing opportunities in the technology market.

In this role, you will use your industry insight, track record, and knowledge of Cloud technology platforms and applications market to acquire new customers by leveraging Sogeti’s market-leading offerings and global delivery capabilities.

We are interested in people with experience in the Mid-Market space of UK&I, targeting rapid growth technology opportunities from hyperscalers (Microsoft, AWS, Google), competing with native boutique system integrators, consulting and service providers, and cloud-native SaaS technology companies.

As Gen-AI dominates headlines and leaders demand innovation, our clients require technology partners to help unlock potential, address technological challenges, mitigate risks, and manage costs. This is central to our go-to-market strategy with our technology partners and delivery capabilities.


Hybrid working: The work location varies based on role, needs, and business requirements, combining company offices, client sites, and your home. Note that 100% remote work is not possible.

Your role

  • Lead Generation: Focus on generating leads and identifying potential clients.
  • Client Qualification: Ensure leads meet engagement criteria.
  • Proposal Support: Assist in preparing client proposals.
  • Consultative Sales Approach: Use a solution-based sales approach to meet client needs.
  • CRM Knowledge: Familiarity with CRM systems like Salesforce is advantageous.

Your skills and experience

  • Sector Experience: Experience in financial services, focusing on mid-market or scale-up/boutique organizations, rather than large enterprises.

  • Agility & Complexity: Agile mindset and comfort with handling complex solutions.
  • Self-Starter: Entrepreneurial attitude, capable of managing own accounts and pipeline.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing market and customer needs.

Your security clearance

You will need to pass necessary security checks, including background checks if residing outside the UK within the last 3 years. Additional checks for BPSS may be required throughout the recruitment process.
