As the Business Development Manager at Voyage Care, you will play a key role in driving growth across your existing and expanding portfolio. You will have overall responsibility for the management and performance of the pipeline and growth for your dedicated region, supporting the operations team and partnering with them from a commercial perspective.

You will take a lead in building strategic relationships with provider collaboratives, area teams, ICBs, foundation trusts, commissioning support units, community mental health teams, local authorities and other stakeholders which may require services, working collaboratively with the fees and bids and tender’s teams to achieve growth and revenue targets.

You will take the lead in identifying potential service development contracting opportunities and other joint working opportunities within their regional portfolio. The Business Development Director will be responsible for growth identification, development and communication of growth opportunities. Identifying and holding key strategic partnerships and increasing revenue streams

  • Strategic Partnership Development
  • Deliverable: Development and execution of a strategic partnership plan to identify, approach and secure partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Purpose: Drive revenue growth, expand service offering and enter new markets/geographies.
  • Includes: Target lists, engagement strategy, timelines, negotiations and status of partnerships.

  • Deliverable: Detailed reporting on revenue generation through business development activities, new client acquisition and sales efforts.
  • Purpose: Measure impact of business development efforts.
  • Includes: New client contracts, revenue projections vs. Actuals, opportunity pipeline and ROI.
  • Deliverable: Develop and execute a market expansion strategy including existing strategic plans. Outlining entry into new market spaces (geographic and Service lines), supported by market analysis, and timeline.
  • Purpose: Enable sustainable business scaling and diversification.
  • Includes: Market research, competitor landscape, entry strategy, cost- benefit analysis and timeline.

Experience / skills

  • Proven track record in business development within the health and social care sector.
  • Strong understanding of M&A processes, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks in the care industry.
  • Experience in developing and executing business development / commercial strategies to drive business growth.
  • Experience of using CRM systems.
  • Excellent relationship management and networking skills, with the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Commercial acumen with strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, drive initiatives, and meet ambitious targets.

    Qualifications
  • Degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
  • Experience working with NHS, local authorities, and CQC-regulated services.
  • Knowledge of care market trends and funding structures.
