Job Opportunity: Business Development Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about driving business growth through strategic partnerships and high-impact events.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Business Development: Proactively identify new business opportunities and potential clients within the media and networking event space.
  2. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, partners, and clients.
  3. Event Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with the event team to design and implement networking events, conferences, and media-related gatherings.
  4. Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and potential new opportunities in the media and events sector.
  5. Sales & Negotiations: Lead the negotiation of contracts and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for clients and the company.
  6. Networking: Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the business network and generate new leads.
  7. Revenue Growth: Drive revenue through event sponsorships, ticket sales, and other monetization strategies.
  8. Reporting: Track and report on business development activities, progress against targets, and event performance metrics.
The Successful Applicant
  • Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Account Manager, or similar role in the media, events, or networking industries.
  • Strong understanding of the media and events landscape, including trends, audience preferences, and emerging technologies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Self-starter with a strong drive to achieve targets and exceed expectations.
  • Experience in event planning, sponsorships, and sales within the media and networking sectors is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
