Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Proactively identify new business opportunities and potential clients within the media and networking event space.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, partners, and clients.
- Event Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with the event team to design and implement networking events, conferences, and media-related gatherings.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and potential new opportunities in the media and events sector.
- Sales & Negotiations: Lead the negotiation of contracts and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for clients and the company.
- Networking: Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the business network and generate new leads.
- Revenue Growth: Drive revenue through event sponsorships, ticket sales, and other monetization strategies.
- Reporting: Track and report on business development activities, progress against targets, and event performance metrics.
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, Account Manager, or similar role in the media, events, or networking industries.
- Strong understanding of the media and events landscape, including trends, audience preferences, and emerging technologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
- Self-starter with a strong drive to achieve targets and exceed expectations.
- Experience in event planning, sponsorships, and sales within the media and networking sectors is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
