Role

Are you passionate about sustainability and renewable energy? Do you thrive in a dynamic B2B environment? Join our team as a Direct Sales - New Business Development Manager and play a pivotal role in identifying and securing new business opportunities within the B2B energy market.

Your mission will be to build and maintain strong client relationships while achieving ambitious sales targets.

This role will be assigned to our Leeds office, where the successful candidate will be based two days per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package and the chance to make a difference in the energy transition.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Prospect Development: Identify and engage with businesses committed to sustainability and renewable energy. Utilize networking events, industry conferences, and digital platforms to connect with potential clients.
  2. Utilisation of AI Tools: Leverage AI tools like Co-pilot to enhance prospecting efforts, analyse market data, identify leads, and gain insights into target companies' sustainability initiatives.
  3. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients. Foster new connections with prospective clients.
  4. Sales Strategy: Implement effective sales strategies to achieve ENGIE Energy Supply's targets and expand our client base.
  5. Proposal Development: Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
  6. Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
  7. Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to develop lead generation strategies and with the operations team to ensure client satisfaction. Attend and present at relevant events and conferences.
  8. Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales activity, pipeline status, and forecasts to senior management.

Experience and Skills:

  1. Experience in the UK Energy Market, particularly in Retail.
  2. Proven experience in sales techniques and optimization across various segments.
  3. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  4. Proven ability to manage customer relationships.
  5. Excellent planning and development skills.
  6. Time management and motivational skills.
  7. Strong presentation and report-writing skills.
  8. Ability to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications:

  1. Degree level or equivalent.
  2. Experience in a similar role within the Energy Market.
