Job description

Polypipe Building Products is focused on delivering solutions to the residential sector. Polypipe Building Products collaborates with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders, and groundworkers to provide above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions, and hot and cold plastic plumbing products.

Role Overview: This position supports the sales team and the overall business needs across various sales areas, covering the postcodes of CA, DH, DL, IM, LA, NE, TD, TS.

The main goal is to drive sales growth by promoting technical specifications with private and social housing developers and local authorities. The role also involves expanding sales within the plumbing, heating, and drainage markets and growing existing and new merchant accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Secure full specifications of the company's product range with private house builders.
  • Develop awareness and specifications of the product range with social housing builders and local authorities.
  • Manage regional design consultants, architects, main clients (developers), groundworkers, and plumbing contractors within the territory.
  • Use CRM to convert leads and opportunities provided by the commercial team and maintain customer records and data.
  • Manage relationships with major contractors in the private and social housing markets.
  • Support regional site auditors and auditing processes, including site verification, rebate claims, and compliance reporting.
  • Report on compliance improvements based on regional site auditor feedback.
  • Keep records of sites where rebate claims are submitted.
  • Implement and manage price increases with developer clients and handle deferrals with subcontractors, aiming to maximize profitability.
  • Understand and report on product specifications across AG, BG, PP, UFH, and On & Off Plot routes.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Previous sales experience in the construction industry is essential.
  • Proficiency with CRM and information systems.
